How To Squish Limiting Self Beliefs!

Never allow someone else's fear of lack, become your reality. Fear of lack can come in many different forms. Lack of money, success, beauty, smarts, talent etc., the list goes on. These negative self beliefs are conditioned at a very young age till your adulthood. No new born is ever going to tell you that they aren't capable or can't be whoever they want to be. It's because of the conditioning. They have been ingrained in our subconscious by our parents, partner, bosses, colleagues, society and even close friends. The good news is, YOU have the FREE WILL to CHANGE that and TAKE CONTROL of your life! Like to know the secret success of how to reprogram your mindset? Read on.

1. Introspection


The first step is introspection. Reflect and recognise who or what these negative situations/relationships are. You'll know how the situation, thing or relationship makes you feel. If it makes you doubt yourself, feel lesser than, or even an internal gut feeling called your intuition, like alerts going off, then it's time to say sayonara. But don't hate on them, most people who had limiting self beliefs too were conditioned by their upbringing and environment. Have compassion, know that they have their own life lessons to live and learn, and then move on.

2. Take Back Your Power


Now that you have identified what's toxic in your life, the second step is to distance yourself or limit interactions from these negative situations, places or relationships. It may sound cruel or selfish, but that is all part of self love. If you care and love yourself enough, you'll want to take action. Instead surround yourself with only loving people who would want the best for you. As they say, your network is your net worth.

3. Positive Affirmations & Visualisation


The third step is to speak positive affirmations. You would want to build yourself up, because you are your best cheerleader! I do this daily, or when I feel lousy about myself. It can be anything. For instance, waking up every morning and saying, "I AM rich, famous, successful and popular. Money and opportunities come my way EASILY!" It's not enough to just say it, you have to believe it - like it had already happened and it's true. To take this step further, you can visualise in your mind's eye the version you've already become.

4. Plan and Take Action


And the last step and probably the most important, is to TAKE ACTION. No amount of positive affirmations and visualisation is going to manifest your dreams into reality if you don't take action. List down your goals/dreams. For instance, becoming a better speaker or becoming healthier. Then plan the course of action to take in order for your goals/dreams to manifest. For instance, to become a better speaker, I can read self-help books that can help me build my confidence and speaking skills. I can challenge myself by setting up a YouTube channel or step up to do a work presentation. Remember, follow through with your plan of action!
